Spring Equinox Sunrise on the water

Spring Equinox Sunrise over the southern tip of Saint Simons Island

We’re so happy that Spring is finally here! The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of astronomical spring (as opposed to meteorological spring, which began March 1st), and it’s the day when the sun crosses the equator from south to north. It always falls on March 19th, 20th, or 21st. This year, the sun crossed the equator at 6:28 EDT this morning, March 20th.

Why are we so excited about the spring equinox? Well, it hails the onset of warm weather and warm water, and that means we can go paddling!!!

Please come join us out on the water. You can book one of our ecotours or rent our equipment and go paddling on your own. If you book today and use the the code EQUINOX when you’re checking out, you can get a $10 per person discount on any booking! Hurry because this offer ends Friday, March 24th!
